Thank you so much, David, for these heartfelt words and thoughts. I recognize myself in much of what you say — and this video has made me very clear that I need to attend this conference and move past my sense of separation because I am a woman.
It is time and I am ready. And I thank you for calling me forward.

Hi David,
This was the first video or content of any type I’ve come into contact with from your organization.
I found your talk very confusing and not very well thought out. I think what you’re asking for is people to come to your event with an open mind but you ask for this in a very indirect way.
If you explain at the beginning what the video is going to be about and plan out what you’re going to say, it would make your message a lot more clear. I found it very challenging to grasp what you’re point was.
I am not sure why but I am torqued at some of what was said in the video – that’s not a bad thing, by the way, it indicates that there was at least something said that I found uncomfortable to hear. And, I am still here in the question of it.
I think that the thing I reacted to was how often the speaker in the video said things to the effect that the “only way to …” . Which by the way is very “old paradigm” in its very saying.
I am not so sure that we should be delivering the answers we personally have for each other without first really grasping what it is that we are attempting to create. How I go about getting to a connected place where I am in touch with that masculine spirit within me is almost assuredly very different than many would use to go to that place. Some meditate, some write poetry, some do visceral and physical things like playing sports or standing toe to toe and screaming fuck you at each other at full volume – all can lead to connection just as all can lead to discord.
I would hope that the focus of our time together is on being connected and on the mission of the conference. And not so much on any one man’s or organization’s solutions to cause connectedness.

Rich,
Thanks for your feedback. First off, I agree with you about there not being an “only way” to do something, and that it is part of the old paradigm. I noticed in watching the video after I made it that I tend to use more “extreme” language in an unconscious attempt to be better heard and understood. This has been good awareness for me to communicate more effectively and speak from a different place. So, thanks for naming that.
As far as delivering answers, what I was wanting to call forth was to show up in a place without answers, and coming into presence to listen to what wants to be created. Not from any one of our knowings or methodologies, but from simply being with one another and seeing what arises. How do we get connected and co-create when we aren’t using any model or framework, but rather being in relationship with self/other/Divine?
We could generate answers from our mind, from our knowledge, or through what we think should happen, or we could be present with what is and trust what unfolds through our collective intention to create something powerful. I suppose I don’t see this a “solution to cause connectedness,” but rather being present with the connection (or lack thereof) and seeing where it takes us (and trusting that even in times of “disconnection” that something valuable is emerging).
I do agree that each of us has different ways of becoming connected. In this case, I was just saying that being in presence together may cause connection, it may cause disconnection, or it may cause something else entirely, but trusting that what “material” shows up will reflect and bring out the underlying issues that we are wanting to address, as well as offer pathways for creating new ways of being.
Thanks for watching and engaging. I know that part of the intention of the conference is to give and receive feedback to better ourselves and our work, and I’m glad to see that already happening.

David,
As hard as it is to quantify everything that you are trying to articulate here, it is precisely what is needed. There is no use in any of us attacking each others’ words or presuming to know a better way than anyone else. This is truly Terra Incognito, and it’s about the toughest material to hash through among a group of strangers, especially in a context void of set expectations, functional terminologies, or real precedents. The more it is treated as an experiment to test a hypothesis, the more useful the results will appear.
As you allude to in your video, we still lack both the experience and the vocabulary to do anything meaningful or of lasting value in this next step in our collective evolution. It is indeed a time when our openness to process and possibility are paramount, and we need to shed any expectations of specific outcomes that are based in what we have previously learned to expect from our lives.
How can we know ahead of time what ought to be when we have never seen it before? Any new paradigm that may emerge cannot do so if it is predicated on personal agendas or ego-trains. Change is as painful to accept as it is difficult to implement, and like any skill, dealing with it takes constant practice to reach a level of proficiency and practicability.
A balance will have to be struck, I would imagine, between the integral but often polarizing elements of concept and action, so that neither loses its potency. If we could loosely name a goal for this upcoming weekend, perhaps it would be to arrive at a form of praxis, whereby a vehicle of some kind–crude though it may first appear–could be formed to convey the surge of ideas that are ready to take shape in the world.
I dont know what it is about this blog that turns me off so much, but you just dont seem to get me excited. I dont know if its the lack of content or just the way you wrote it. But you really dont seem to understand that your readers may not agree with you. Youre really just too out there for me.
This post was very nicely written, and it also contains a lot of useful facts. I appreciated your professional manner of writing the post. Thanks, you have made it easy for me to understand.
It’s rare for me to find something on the web that is as entertaining and fascinating as what you’ve got here. Your page is sweet, your graphics are great, and what’s more, you use source that are relevant to what you are talking about. You’re certainly one in a million, good job!
